Frequently Asked Questions
  • What is Estate Jewelry?
Estate jewelry means second-hand jewelry (regardless of its age). Vintage jewelry means jewelry that is older than 20 years. Antique jewelry means jewelry that is older than 100 years.
  • Why Buy Estate Jewelry?
Estate jewelry is often one-of-a-kind, meaning you won't see anyone else wearing the same thing. And because it’s pre-owned, it's usually more affordable than buying new jewelry from a high-end designer. Also, estate jewelry offers originality and variety that you can't find in stores. The materials used are naturally designed to last and there is no compromise in the beauty of each item. Superb Quality and Workmanship Antique jewelry and often estate jewelry has been passed down from generation to generation. The fact that the jewelry has lasted so long and aged so well is a testament to the superior workmanship of the jeweler and the quality of the materials it was made from. As long as it is well cared for it will continue to hold strong for many years to come. Sustainable When you buy antique or estate jewelry, you are conserving rather than consuming resources. In today’s world, conserving the earth’s resources is a high priority. The fact that it was made using the crafting technology of that day along with the materials from that time makes it even more special. Unique Jewelry created in the past centuries was never mass-produced. Finding an identical match of anantique ring, pendant, or brooch is nearly impossible. The jewelry of yesteryear was not mass produced - the details are exquisite and like no other modern jewelry. You can see the love and care that was poured into each creation! Retains Value Antique and estate jewelry holds its value more often than not, and that value will only increase with time. The materials used are naturally designed to last and there is no compromise in the beauty of each item. Just as classic cars stay in demand and retain their value, antique jewelry remains collectable and desirable and retains theirs.
